A Different Kind of School

Building Connections Academy (BCA) was founded in 2023 by Jeanine Wilkinson, BCBA. We are a nonpublic K-8 school with locations in Concord and Martinez, California, serving students from the Greater Bay Area who are either placed privately, or through a district referral via the IEP process.

We offer a specialized educational environment that integrates the principles of multi-sensory project-based learning, multi-age classrooms, general education, and special education support. We are made up of a diverse group of students with a range of strengths, interests, abilities and learning differences. We are proud to be a part of this supportive educational environment that is well beyond what is currently available in the public school system.

BCA is backed by the expertise of our parent organization, Building Connections Behavioral Health, Inc. (BCBH), which has provided behavioral health services to individuals ages 0–22 with ASD, ADHD, OCD, ODD, and other behavioral needs since 2012.
