Fun, Friendships, and Real-Life Skills
At Building Connections Academy, we believe summer should be full of fun and meaningful growth! Our social skills summer camp in Concord, CA, is designed especially for kids who thrive with a little extra support in navigating friendships, communication, and group dynamics.
Through creative hands-on activities, games, and real-world lessons, campers (ages 3–12) build essential social skills like:
- Disagreeing respectfully
- Respecting personal space
- Asking for help and including others
- Compromising and making group decisions
- Starting conversations and building real friendships
Each week at camp is filled with exciting themes and activities that keep kids engaged and learning in a playful, supportive environment. From wildlife exploration and space adventures to robotics challenges and our own Building Connections Talent Show, there’s something for every interest and ability!
Whether they’re solving mysteries during Mystery Week, creating amazing art during Make and Create Week, or showing off their skills at the end-of-summer Talent Show, campers are learning, laughing, and making lifelong connections every day.
We combine:
- Play-based social skills lessons
- Guided modeling and role-play
- Positive reinforcement and feedback
- Creative arts, STEM activities, outdoor play, and mindfulness time
Our goal? To help kids practice real-world social interactions while having a blast—and building confidence that will last long after summer ends.
